We announced earlier this year that one of the Design Informatics student projects from our Design with Data course (led by Dave Murray-Rust) was up for a D&AD New Blood Award and was one of five winners under the BBC Festivals Category. The award ceremony took place on the 6th of July and we are delighted to annouce that the team won a prestigious yellow pencil award!
The project is called Actor Who and takes advantage of the many red telephone boxes across the city of Edinburgh. Visitors are invited to audition for the Festivals' in the phone booths where people can vote for their favourites via Twitter before the videos are released on You Tube. Further information and documentation is available on the D&AD website. You will also be able to see the project working at our Design Informatics Pavilion which will be open from 3-26 August 2017 as part of the Future Play Festival and Edinburgh Art Festival.
