Prof. Mel Woods is Chair of Creative Intelligence at DJCAD, University of Dundee. Her research interests are at the intersection of creativity, technology, action-research and social innovation. Mel has sustained a critical enquiry into how data and technology can support decision-making and change in response to societal challenges, most recently through environmental monitoring and citizen science. She is currently leading work for H2020 WeObserve and OpenDoTT Open Design of Trusted Things. Mel was recently awarded Stephen Fry Awards for Excellence in Public Engagement (2020); PIEonner Awards Digital Innovation of the Year (2020), S+T+ARTS prize, ARS Electronica (2018). (200)
