Exhibition Launch – Somewhere In The Universe It Rains Diamonds (Aether)

Theodore Koterwas is an artist and musician working with data, physical phenomena and the human body. He seeks to draw critical attention to aspects of daily experience that often go unnoticed but profoundly impact on how we understand each other, technology and the environment.

When stars die they bombard us with cosmic rays, invisible particles that stream through us constantly. Somewhere In the Universe it Rains Diamonds (Aether) makes you feel them in your bones. As our collective attention increasingly turns to a disembodied meta-verse, this work seeks to engage you viscerally with the real one.

This exhibition is the latest development in Theodore’s exploration of “data visceralisation” funded through the Creative Informatics Resident Entrepreneur programme.

Somewhere In the Universe it Rains Diamonds (Aether) will be presented across the Basement Galleries in Summerhall from Friday 4th November to Sunday 6th November, 10am to 6pm daily.
