Ari Beckingham, PhD Student
Ari Beckingham is a PhD student in Design Informatics (Edinburgh College of Art) and Moray House (School of Education). Her research aims to explore how children can understand and construct climate change within their everyday context in a more nuanced and meaningful way using augmented reality.
She completed her MSc Design and Digital Media in 2020 at The University of Edinburgh and has a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design. She has taught English as a Foreign Language in a language centre for a couple of years and then online since 2019. Her interests include:
- Emerging technology, specifically augmented and virtual reality
- Learning through playing
- Learning in an informal environment
