Aulia Wiradarmo, PhD Student
Aulia Wiradarmo is a Product Design Innovation lecturer at a private university in Tangerang, Indonesia with over six years of experience teaching creativity and design thinking. Aiming to sharpen her research skills, she is currently pursuing a PhD in Design Informatics, supported by the prestigious Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) scholarship.
Her research explores the intersection of humans, technology, heritage, and the creative industries, with a focus on how Generative AI impacts creativity, alongside its ethical and policy implications. Aulia’s professional projects include leveraging technology in museum experiences and designing cultural products that bridge tradition with innovation.
She holds an MSc in Creative Industries and Cultural Policy from the University of Glasgow and a BDes in Product Design from Bandung Institute of Technology. Passionate about fostering not only a human-centred but also humane-oriented technological future, Aulia is an active member of the “Democratic Union of Media and Creative Industries Workers in Indonesia” (SINDIKASI) and the “Artificial Intelligence Research and Industrial Innovation Collaboration” (KORIKA) in Indonesia.
Her academic and professional journey reflects her commitment to shaping the evolving relationship between design, technology, and society.
