Dinny Duan, Visiting PhD Student

Dinny Duan is a Visiting PhD Student from Southeast University in China. She has an MSc in Industrial Design. Her research focuses on visualisation and human-computer interface design, and effective interface representation strategies. Her research interests include the impact of human perception and cognition in different visualization interfaces.

Her research at the University of Edinburgh aims to explore the cognitions (thoughts, beliefs, experiences), socio-cultural expectations, and emotions that people have or experience in relation to sleep and craft visualisations that take those factors into account when providing feedback about sleep patterns.
