Joe Revans, Design Research Developer

Joe Revans is a design research developer at the Institute for Design Informatics. Working in collaboration with academic colleagues, Joe helps design and build the artefacts, experiences, hardware and software that are used within research projects. Highlights include a board game for discussing data privacy; smart-contract controlled courier boxes; fictional newspapers about bio-hacked dogs; and an energy trading toothbrush.

Alongside their work at the university, Joe has an artistic practice that explores environmental histories and futures through creative writing and filmmaking.
