Miriam Walsh, Research Projects Producer & Inspace Gallery Manager

Drawing from over a decade of professional experience within the arts and interdisciplinary practice, her research interests lie in the crossovers between art, science, design and technology and how these interface with society. She is currently Research Projects Producer and Inspace Gallery Manager, at the Institute for Design Informatics, at the University of Edinburgh. She is former Project Manager of The New Real, at Edinburgh’s Futures Institute (2022-2023) and former Managing Director of ASCUS Art & Science (2014-2022). She remains a member of their board of directors of ASCUS Art and Science and prior to these roles she curated a series of independent creative projects in Scotland, Ireland and internationally.

As an interdisciplinary curator, creative facilitator and producer with a background in site specific visual arts projects, Miriam has a special interest in non-traditional delivery of the arts within both gallery and non-gallery settings. She has a background in public engagement and creative learning programming and practices, including a multitude of art-science-technology crossover projects across her career to date, spanning diverse themes and topics.
