Tianqi Bi, PhD Candidate

Tianqi Bi is a PhD researcher in Technology Law at the School of Law, University of Edinburgh. Her doctoral research explores the legal framework for data intermediaries in the context of connected vehicle data, with a particular focus on how the European Union applies the concept of “data sharing by design” in developing access and sharing mechanisms for in-vehicle data.

She holds an LL.M with Distinction from University College London. Her research takes an interdisciplinary approach, engaging with both legal and technical aspects of EU data governance, and contributes to ongoing debates on the implementation of the Data Act, data access rights, and mobility data spaces.
