Yixun Li, PhD Candidate
Yixun Li is a PhD student at the Institute for Design Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. Her supervisors are Dr. Bettina Nissen and Dr. Andrea Ford.
Her research focuses on broadening a new presentation of female biological data on an artistic and aesthetic level, emphasising female feelings by conceptualising data as embodied experiences, empowering women to revisit their bodies and reshaping self-cognition.
She holds a BA in Product Design from Edinburgh Napier University and an MA in Digital and Interaction Design from the University of Leeds. Her passion for design and research led her to work as a user experience designer in China’s IT and Logistics industries and as a research assistant at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
